  We hired a few bikes in Dec 2016. Very friendly and helpful service. The owner (I think he is) was very kind and patient in explaining everything from different types of bikes suitable for our family to the available bike trails. Exceptionally great prices too. Highly recommended!!

  Highly recommend this as an essential activity to do when staying at Nelson Bay or Shoal Bay or the surrounding areas as there is many cycle way tracks alongside the main roads and also in bush and national park areas. The owner of this store is a very friendly gentlemen, it had been raining after I earlier had called to ask if there was bikes for hire and by the time I got to his store it was closed due to wet weather however when I rang his contact number he was more then happy to go out of his way to open the store for me as he was close by and let me hire a bike. The service he provides is exceptional and after reading Tim McPherson's bad review on here I don't believe him at all and would recommend anyone not to take it seriously he has gone out of his way to smear this business owners name for whatever twisted reason.

  We visited in July 2015 and hired bikes from Shoal Bay Bike Hire. The bikes were comfortable - the seats especially so therefore we stayed out longer than we booked! Frank who runs the shop is excellent in relation to knowledge and service and goes the extra 'mile' to help us! I am contacting him from Sydney to order parts for my bikes at home as his prices are very reasonable and his service exceptional! Thank you Frank!

  A must-do at The Bay, there are lots of bike tracks between all the major town centres, all of them really easy to ride. Very enjoyable, and with this rental shop that's been here for several decades, it's all here waiting for you. There's even tandem bikes!

  The shop owner frank is extremeley kind person helped me order a very hard product to find for a bike shop (a unicycle for mountain biking). I will be looking forward to buying more products from frank In The future.
